Apache NetBeans

Starting with Apache NetBeans 11.1 it is possible to develop Java EE projects that are built with Gradle. This affected the CLASSE-IT web development for the Business Office web site, the CHESS Inventory web site, and the Radiation Source web site.

Starting with Apache NetBeans 11.0, Gradle projects were automatically detected, but they did not work correctly for Java EE projects built with Gradle.

Apache NetBeans 10.0 did not automatically detect Gradle projects and did not treat Java EE projects like Gradle projects so there was no problem.

Apache NetBeans 11.0 is LTS. Apache 11.1 is not, but it has been used successfully and without issues.
