ScreenConnect Upgrade: Tuesday, 30-Jun-2020 @ 10:30 AM
On Tuesday, 30-Jun-2020, starting at 10:30 AM, the ScreenConnect
service will be unavailable for up to one hour for a server upgrade. During this time, you will be disconnected from remote sessions and will not be able to start new remote sessions. The ScreenConnect
client software on end-user computers will be upgraded during a future maintenance window.
Brief VPN Outage: Tuesday, 30-Jun-2020 @ 11:30 AM
On Tuesday, 30-Jun-2020, starting at 11:30 AM, there will be a short outage of the CLASSE VPN
while we make a configuration change to our VPN server.
ESET Firewall Update: Monday, 06-Jul-2020
On Monday, 06-Jul-2020 at 10:30 AM, we will push an ESET update to CLASSE-managed Windows and Mac computers, after which the local firewall will be enabled and the client software will be up to date. Laptop users should connect to the CLASSE VPN
for at least an hour to receive this update, either during normal daytime usage or during Monday night updates
. A reboot will be required to complete the update.
Based on our testing, this ESET change has minimal impact on computer performance. If you find otherwise, please submit a ServiceRequest
General network and server maintenance will occur every Tuesday from 12 noon to 2:00 PM.
The CLASSE-IT group will always announce any expected disruptions in our NewsLetter
and via CLASSE-IT-NEWS-L
, but with the size and complexity of our network there is always the potential for something to go wrong. We will do our best to contain all network maintenance and planned outages to Tuesdays from 12 noon to 2:00 PM.
Unless other arrangements have been made, CLASSE-managed Windows systems may be updated and rebooted on Tuesday morning at 2:00 AM
