How to reset the license for Autodesk Products using the new procedures:
  1. REBOOT the computer. DO NOT START any Autodesk programs.

  2. Log in to AppsAnywhere and run the "Autodesk License Reset" v2025 package.

NOTHING will appear to happen, but please wait 1 minute after launching it for the reset to complete.

  3. Step 3: Use your Autodesk ID to get a valid license for Autodesk Products

3a: Launch Vault Professional. This should now prompt you to select a licensing method.

3b: Select the top option to "Sign In" with your Autodesk ID. This will be your Cornell e-mail address, If you don't previously have an Autodesk account, or don't remember the password for it, select "Forgot Password" and create a new one as directed.

  4. Step 4: Connect Autodesk ID.

4a: This will open Vivaldi and will have you sign in. You will be sent a 2FA code to your registered e-mail address. NOTE: This MUST BE a @cornell.edu address (we've only linked cornell.edu addresses).

4b: Copy or type the code into the window.

4c: YOU WILL BE PROMPTED to "Open Autodesk Identity Manager" from Vivaldi.. YOU MUST click "Open Autodesk Identity Manager".

  5. This should now configure your computer properly and license all Autodesk Products, though you may need to give other products a minute to get their own license the when you launch them, it should not prompt you for additional tasks.

You will need to repeat this procedure on each computer you use Autodesk products on, including new ones you launch the current releases of 2025 on.

  6. If you have any questions, or problems, feel free to call or e-mail Scott Hartman at 255-3659 or swh77@cornell.edu
